
Journey to Beekeeping: Level I
This class is designed for beginners who have little to no prior knowledge of beekeeping. Participants will learn the basics of beekeeping, including the importance of honeybees, their life cycle, and the equipment necessary for starting a hive.
The class will cover topics such as hive components, beekeeping safety, and the role of beekeepers in maintaining healthy colonies.
Hands-on activities may include assembling hive frames, learning how to light a smoker, and understanding the basics of hive inspection.

Topics covered may include swarm control, honey extraction methods, and integrated pest management. Participants will gain a better understanding of hive dynamics and learn practical techniques for maintaining healthy and productive colonies.
Hands-on activities may include comb inspections and honey extraction techniques.
